We have been considering installing a wood burning insert in our existing fireplace. After a lot of research we went to Buck Stove in Walnut Creek.
We were helped by Andrew who gave up a ton of info. We told him it was an initial info gathering trip and he told us that he completely understood and was available for any additional questions we may have later.
Long story short, we decided to make our purchase with Andrew and we couldn't be more pleased with his professionalism and patience with us. We have placed our order and are now waiting for our insert to be fabricated.

After years of considering a gas insert for our fireplace, we finally committed. We simply couldn't face another winter of hauling wood and building a fire. The very first stop we made was Buck Stove.
Andrew helped us pick out what was best for our needs. I simply wanted to take the chill off the family room in the morning; to have a space to read a book and linger over morning coffee and read.
Andrew measured our space and didn't rush our decisions. We are both seniors and want to think things through. He arranged the install and took care of even the tiniest of concerns.
The installers, Jose and Julian confirmed date and time a week out, then again the day before. They showed up on time; they worked quickly and quietly, everything was cleaned at the end. There were no boxes or plastic for us to take care of after. Jose made sure I knew how to operate the remote. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for this experience.
The pandemic has slowed everything down and we knew that going in. So if you are patient and understanding of the stress this global event has put on all of us, you will be treated in kind.
We were lucky enough to have had all of this in stock and the wait time was only due to having our surround custom cut to fit the fireplace opening. Shipping times and production change as we get out from under this world mess. If considering getting an insert, order it now. Don't wait till it gets chilly. And give your business to this Buck Stove location. We absolutely made the right choice.
I'm updating my review to add the final picture after the metal surround was installed. We LOVE LOVE our Kozy insert. We use it everyday. The funniest is our old man Boston Terrier lays in front of the fire now and snores away. I think he likes it even more than us!Haha
