Melo’s has its roots in a remote village in the lush hills of the province of Calabria in the south of Italy. There, two brothers, Carmelo and Gaetano Piccolo, were raised on simple, rustic meals prepared with the best regional ingredients such as pure olive oil, wild oregano, handmade pasta and hearty bread. Our student to teacher ratios are consistently lower than mandated by the state in order to best develop each child, unlike many high volume commercial day care center competitors. Our curriculum is a developmentally structured program that supports the goals of the San Ramon Valley Unified School District and prepares the children for Kindergarten while having fun. Our goal is for the children to develop a positive self image while honoring each family's unique cultural situation. We are fully licensed by the State of California Department of Social Services and are currently undergoing the NAEYC process in order to obtain NAEYC accreditation.
