California Academy of Sciences

There is so much to see at Cal Academy, it is awesome every time we go. The rainforest: from the butterflies at the top to the unreal fish tank tunnel at the bottom and all the exhibits and plants in between are such an immersive experience.
The bugs exhibit is also incredible: the dragon fly spinning animated orb in the 15 foot tall "grass", orchid mantis and Japanese honey bee experiences are so well done. The interactive, informational screens that are so easy to navigate are great even for young kids.
There is so much I didn't mention, but this place is awesome, a great place for families in which you can easily spend half a day if not more of educating your kids while they have fun.

We visited California Academy of Sciences several times this year and all experiences were great.
Even the surroundings are perfect to enjoy.
They have a special exhibit, "Bugs". It looks a little scary for little ones before you go inside, but it has several hands on activities for them.
Recommend the shows at planetarium. Need to reserve through the QR code. Might not good for someone who is easily get dizzy by visuals. But for others, good to try.
It is hard to find a parking spot even weekdays after noon. If you don't care about parking fee, it would be better to use their parking garage.

It's such a beautiful Museum, I love everything inside, especially the rainforest building an aquarium. We were in a rush to catch a flight, but still spent good 1.5 hrs in the museum.
Will for sure recommend it to friends who are looking for a dating ideal or friends who have a family.
Be aware the rainforest area is very humid and kinda hot. If you have a breathing problem, be careful.
