Children’s Fairyland is America’s first storybook theme park. Ever since we opened in 1950, we’ve been a magical place for young children to create, imagine, play, and learn.
Seeing Fairyland through the eyes of my 3 year old may be the highlight of the year. Every corner drips with magic and tonight visiting for Winter Wonderland may have been the best visit yet. The park was beautiful, and hearing my son walk by Santa for the third time waving "hi Santa" like they were old friends melted my heart. It's a bit extra charge but worth it, In addition to the magical evening vibe, no lines, a few special performances.
I remember coming here as a child. 20 years later got to bring my son. There are animals, rides, and shows. You can purchase a key at the entrance to use at music boxes located throughout the park for stories. Cute park for kids under ages 5-6. Prices are honestly high compared to other museums and parks throughout the Bay Area. Parking is free along the lake. I don't envision a family spending the whole day here - probably a couple hours. They offer areas for birthday parties which is a plus. The gift shop has lots of cute toys and stuffed animals. If you live in the area it's worth a visit but I wouldn't make a special trip out of my way.
Fairyland is a wonderful place to spend time with our toddler! We appreciate this historic amusement park for families with young children. It's so fun for the little ones, and at $15 per person with unlimited rides, space spaces to run and play, and puppet shows, it's well worth the price of admission. I especially appreciate that they keep strict COVID measures and require masks since most kids who are there have been in the unvaccinated category throughout the pandemic.
