Cuda Ridge produces all eight of the Bordeaux varietals including Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Carmenere. Cuda Ridge signature wines are Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. From time to time, winemaker Larry Dino, will produce non-Bordeaux style wines which are designated under the Black Label, these wines include Syrah, Sangiovese, New-World style Cabernet Sauvignon and our S&M blend. Cuda Ridge does extensive blending of the varietals and strives for lower alcohol wines with intense complexity and character, traditional of the Bordeaux style.
Enjoyed their wine tasting and took home the Cabernet Sauvignon. Great experience. Beautiful wines with the Livermore backdrop.
Really appreciate the staff being so accommodating with me, being the Saturday before Valentine's Day and allowing me to come in for a tasting just half an hour before close with no reservation. Everyone went out of their way to either pour for me, provide recommendations or give some insight on the wines. The Malbec, Cab and red blend were easy favorites!
Wine was great. Geoff was awesome and very knowledgeable about the wines. The grapes were on the vines for all to see as you enter. If you want a great wine tasting experience without all the snootiness of other wine places, especially Napa, this is an awesome place to go to.
