Fenestra Winery was established by the Replogle family on the historic Ruby Hill property in Pleasanton in 1976 and in 1980 occupied the century-old George True Winery building on Vallecitos Road in Livermore. The old building had been badly neglected, and the Replogles hauled away tons of trash, and installed a new roof and strengthened the building. The winery building was refurbished in 1997 and vineyards have been planted around the winery. The winery specializes in classically balanced, award-winning wines from primarily Livermore Valley grapes. Livermore Valley’s first boutique winery, Fenestra Winery has celebrated many years of fine wines.
One of my favorite wineries in the Livermore Valley! I've tasted and had memberships at some other wineries but I love how relaxed and chill this one is.
The reservations are easy to get, the staff is very friendly, and the seating is very cute and comfortable. It's a small little winery but I wouldn't have it any other way! Too bad it only opens Friday through Sunday.
The wine itself is tasty - I'm no wine snob but I dislike when the wine is too tart. Some of the wines here are of a "heavy body" or as a wine noob as myself describes it as stronger and deeper. The whites are all on the sweeter side and are so refreshing!
Come visit and support.
id like to thank fenestra winery for such a fun experience as it was my first time going wine tasting. the environment and atmosphere was really well kept. overall the facility felt really dreamy and magical! their staff were so thoughtful, friendly, knowledgeable. definitely would be a spot id come back again with friends and family :)
tip:
- kids and pet friendly
- unisex bathrooms available
- decent sized parking lot
- cute outdoor seating (accommodating to both smaller and larger parties)
- please make sure to call ahead of time to book!
- charcuterie is available for purchase (which is one of my favorite parts)
Beautiful scenery, great wine, and exceptional customer service! We just visited this quant and cozy winery, and were greeted by a welcoming group of ladies at the check in desk. We were promptly sat for our 3:15 reservation and enjoyed a wonderful view of their vineyards and well kept landscape. Our host was very sweet and friendly and convinced us to pay another visit sometime this winter to catch a glimpse of the early sunset while enjoying some wine. This winery is smaller than others in the area but if you're looking for friendly service and calming scenery while enjoying great quality wine, this is the place.
