Claim this ListingGarré Winery is located in Livermore, California. Historians trace viticulture activity in the Livermore Valley back to 1832. A family photo of Nonna "Rosa" Garré with her son in law Gino Molinaro holding the jug of family wineWe also trace our family wine making back to the early 19th century as well to a small village outside of Genoa, Italy.
“My dad is Bob Molinaro, the owner of Garré Winery. He tells the story of his dad and uncles getting together every year to make their wine for the family. A truck would bring red grapes from Napa to San Francisco, where the families lived. The grapes would be crushed and fermented and the wine would be made. My uncles learned from their uncles who brought their knowledge and experience from the Old Country to the New World. Family traditions and a deeply rooted heritage are the backbone of Garré Vineyard & Winery, welcoming visitors as family to enjoy the experience of old Italy. Visit us to share in our toast of a glass from the past, a toast to the future.”

We were a party of six and met for lunch. None of us had been here before so we came with a blank slate. Google reviews were very good. I'm a bit surprised by negative Yelp reviews.
Bottom line, we had a lovely time. We sat outside at the cafe. We ordered a ton of appetizers plus dessert and all was quite tasty, no complaints. Also, ordered Garre champagne and wine which we enjoyed. All in all, Garre Winery is excellent. It's nice to feel like you're in the wine country without driving to Napa/Sonoma. We all live in the East Bay. Thanks!!
This was the last stop of the Livermore wine trolly and it was such a good note to end on! The wines in this tasting were all delicious but the opening Pinot noir rosé was such a delight! I was not impressed by the food pairing and would knock it down a star but Martel the host was so incredible she outshined any food issues. The wine was great, the people were great, I totally recommend
I've been coming here as a designated driver for years, and I can say that I've enjoyed the friendly people who work here and the delicious food served up in the restaurant!
I gotta admit tho, it's really nice to just be able to partake in tasting wines and being add to the conversation about the flavors of the wine. My favorite by far is their Red Velvet Port, followed by Nonna Rosa and their Petite Sirrah was very nice.
Heading up to the cafe, I know for a fact that the chef is passionate about the food he makes because I met him Prior to Covid!! I don't really think you can go wrong with anything on the menu!
This was the second time I've been here for wine tasting and the people are always so friendly. We had outdoor seating but unfortunately the weather force us to sit inside which was still really nice.
Our server was Ashley and she was great! She knew what each wine was and was very welcoming. You could see the smile thru her mask.
We bought a bottle and took it to the cafe for our lunch reservation. It was perfect girls day out.
