After serving the 24/680 corridor community for over 10 years from his 1181 Boulevard Way office in Walnut Creek, Dr. Ko has moved to a quiet and peaceful new location about a mile away, where he will continue to provide customized and comfortable dental care to the community.
Dr. Ko grew up in the Sunset District of San Francisco. Upon his graduation from Lowell High School, he traveled across the Bay to UC Berkeley, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in Molecular and Cell Biology. Not wanting to leave the Bay Area, Dr Kevin Ko returned to San Francisco to attend dental school at UCSF. After graduating in 2004, he stayed in the Bay Area and established his practice in Walnut Creek in 2007.
Glad to add another positive review for Dr. Ko, my dentist for 11 years. Early on, I needed a crown and was amazed that it could be done in one visit. His expertise, and his commitment to the best of modern technology is unquestionable. Since then, with regular check-ups, I've needed little serious (or costly) care.
This is due to the support and advice I've had from him and my hygienist Sheila. I was convinced to buy a water pic, use a bit of fluoride via toothpaste and mouthwash, and encouraged to floss.
Dr. Ko understands people and has hired a great staff: an assistant, excellent hygienists, and delightful, competent people in the front office, all from various ethnic backgrounds.
Dr. Ko is intelligent, competent, and compassionate. He also has a sense of humor!
Inevitably, one must interact with helpful professionals. Some are gifts to one's experience. Dr. Ko is one of my gifts.
As a retired physician, I am happy to testify that Dr. Ko is the real deal, a true master of his trade. Impeccable technique and results, a caring manner, and never acts rushed. I think his prices are quite reasonable, and he is quite willing to discuss the pros and cons about any given approach. Absolutely no "my way or the highway" nonsense, which I would not tolerate. Old enough to have mastered his craft, young enough to really enjoy his work. The office staff is wonderful, friendly and on top of things. Five stars for Sheila, his excellent hygienist. A wonderful practice in all respects.
I switched to Dr Ko a few years ago. I wasn't happy with my last experience. All I ask for is a good dentist and professional staffs who are competent with dealing with copays and insurances. I don't like to be surprised with unexpected cost after the procedure is done. That is why I like Dr Ko's office. Dr Ko is great and upfront with treatment options. The front desk is professional and isn't overly friendly which I like because it just feels natural. I have confidence in Dr Ko and his staffs to take care of my gum and teeth
