Lori has been in business since 1989 and has a BA in Liberal Studies/Credential Track with an option in Early Childhood Studies. Lori holds a Master Teacher Certificate.
The program's goal is to instill the joy of learning and create a strong foundation for the child. Kindness, respect, responsibility, communication, independence and self-regulation are encouraged. Cognitively, students are exposed to science, math, engineering, language and literacy, social studies, art, music, dramatic play, and cooking. There is a nice balance between free choice and structured activities in a calm, safe, and positive environment. Lori believes children learn mainly through play exploration and hands-on experiences.

My daughter went to Ms. Lori's for 2 years and we couldn't have picked a better place for our shy girl. She grew so much and the small class size made sure that she got the love and attention that she needed. My little girl is ready for kindergarten because she not only learned the social skills she needed, but also the academics, all done in a fun and organized atmosphere.
My son started Miss Lori's 3-year old program this year and it has been wonderful! He was nervous in the beginning as this was his first school experience, but after a couple of weeks he loved going to school. He is now close friends with the other 4 kids in his class (both boys and girls), on days he doesn't have school he is always asking when he can go back, and I have seen him learn so much in the 5 months he has attended Miss Lori's preschool. I'm very impressed with how much personal attention Lori gives each child. She is creative with her lesson plans and my son is always excited about the projects they work on at school. We are looking forward to another great year in her 4-year old program next year!
Both of my kids have gone to Lori's Preschool and it has been a wonderful experience for all of us. There are no more than 6 kids in a class, so the small environment allows Miss Lori to really focus on each child's strength and weaknesses. Miss Lori is creative with her curriculum and has a great approach to the way she educates the kids. My kids have learned so much from her beyond the preschool basics, including the importance of exercising and healthy food choices. Miss Lori also really helped with one of our kids who had some mild separation anxiety. Miss Lori was extremely patient and was able to help our daughter get through it as well as provided us with tricks to help with drop off and pick up.
The kids also really bond with each other because of the small class. Park play dates are regular. My son who is in 1st grade still talks about how much he misses preschool, and he has continued friendships with some of the kids from that class.
I am so happy that we found Miss Lori and would recommend any parent in the area to invest in her teachings and time with your children.
