We are regulars. The salmon always has a great char on it. The brussel sprouts are crispy and yum with a perfect dipping mayo. The schnitzel has a mustard sauce so good we always ask for and receive a little extra. The rib appetizers are back and cant be beat.
We sit outside in the beautiful courtyard and when chilly they always have enough heaters to keep us happy.
Metro Lafayette is one of my favorite restaurants in the Bay Area. Their menu items always highlight the season's harvest and all ingredients are local & organic. They also have a variety of vegetarian dishes which is awesome!
Some favorites menu items:
- The Crispy Brussel are to die for - have to get them every time!
- Their Beet Salad is probably the most beautiful salad dish I've seen
- Their gnocchi is super tasty and a great choice for vegetarians and the shrimp tacos are a delicious choice if you are pescatarian
- The Organic Greens cocktail is my fav drink - tastes like a healthy green juice with a fun kick
On the weekends they serve brunch. The Eggs Benedict on Acme Toast is my go-to and French Toast when I have a sweet toothThe staff at the restaurant are amazing and so sweet. I'll often see the owners, Jack and Erika, working on the weekends and greeting guests!
Metro also supports the local businesses and schools - I'll often see local high school parties and Cal events hosted out on their patio - always a lively ambiance.
Metro is a local gem with something for everyone!
They have Pliny the Elder! And a great wine list! And a bunch of creative cocktails.
The burgers are delicious! The fresh pasta dishes are amazing. Great vegetarian options like the beet salad!
Two words...truffle fries!
