Metropolitan Golf Links is an 18-hole public golf course in Oakland, California next door to Oakland International Airport home to Fairview Metropolitan.
Our Johnny Miller-designed course was built in the classic links tradition and challenges golfers of all skill levels. We feature one of the finest all-grass practice driving ranges in the East Bay, along with two large practice putting greens, and a short-game area. Metro is the home practice facility for the UC Berkeley Men's and Women's golf teams. Metropolitan Golf Links is a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. This is an amazing place for a Wedding. Angela the venue manager was great and very quick to respond. The price was very affordable. The location and view was fantastic!! The photo opportunities are plentiful to get amazing shots with a backdrop of the beautiful sunset for an evening wedding. My husband and I were very happy with this venue and we recommend it to all of our friends for all events.

I went to this course for the first time and I love it! The driving range is really small because half the range is reserved for Cal students and lessons but I do like that you aren't playing on a mat but real grass instead.
The course itself is maintained really well and the tee boxes were all in phenomenal condition despite covid. The course is a really simple and easy layout so it is definitely a good course for beginners as well! I played my best game here which is surprising because I usually do poorly when visiting a course for the first time. The greens were fast but definitely more simple than you'd think. I was over reading the lines a lot because I thought the greens would be like Corica. I had more than 8 birdie looks but missed my putts to put it into perspective. I will definitely be back! Price is really high but definitely worth it once in a while. About $180 for two people with cart on Saturday. This course seems very walkable too so definitely will consider walking next time. Staff was very nice! I was scared after reading the reviews but pro shop employee was kind.

Best golf course. 5 stars because Michael the chef makes THE BEST meals. Been here multiples times and will continue to come and bring friends and family. The course itself is beautiful and all but I recommend Chef Michaels meals even if you don't golf
