Amazing and friendly service!! We've been here before and wanted to get a quick bite of coffee cake to go. The Owner gave us two complementary slices!! Not expected but so grateful. Thanks for the love!! Happy Holidays!! We'll be back
A gem. Old Millies was overpriced bland senior breakfast charging double for half sized portions of exotic, cosmopolitan creations like "eggs with cheese," for cash-only no less. New ownership did it right... cleaned it up, revamped menu with food from the actual 21rst century,
plus they take.... CREDIT CARDS! New staff greet with warmth and work hard to keep it easy for you, not a sad death spiral transference like before. Serves up delicious, reasonably healthy fare without making you feel like you should have arrived in a suit/lulu garb like everything else in town. Does NOT deserve the shade being thrown, these negative reviews are unfounded and yet another example of people taking out their lack of therapy on defenseless services. Great food, great people, cozy, local, money.
Had a fantastic breakfast this morning at Millie's American kitchen. I was a little reluctant to give it a try as I haven't been there in years and their Yelp reviews certainly weren't glowing. Having said that, I realize that change can be difficult, especially for long time, customers, and I felt I needed to check it out for myself. Boy am I glad I did! My husband had the eggs Benedict and I had a scramble. Both were delicious and cooked to perfection. I also love that they offer gluten-free options and the coffee was fantastic. My only feedback is the hollandaise sauce was a little flavorless. My husband and I both agreed that it could use more salt, but completely understand with clientele of varying ages it's better to leave things less salty and add salt as needed. With regards to the service, we couldn't have been happier. Our server, Aimee (also an owner) was delightful! Super attentive, over the top friendly, and all smiles. The owner of the restaurant, Victor, is getting a bad rap. Although he's not a particularly Smiley guy, he was professional, hard working, and clearly knows how to run a business. If you're looking for a great breakfast, a simple, VERY clean ambience, and fantastic coffee, give the new Millie's a try!
