“Meet the Nicks”
- Nick the Greek was born after one of three close-knit cousins, Nick (Baby Nick), traveled home from a trip to Greece and realized that there was nowhere near home where he could get quality gyros. As second-generation restaurateurs, Nick and his two cousins, also named Nick (Big Nick and Little Nick) decided to start their own modern restaurant concept. The Nick the Greek concept was born. It has grown to become an incredibly popular, multi-unit chain and a restaurant franchise opportunity primed for even more growth!

Super great addition to Walnut Creek! We don't have to drive to Concord to enjoy Nick the Greek anymore. YAY!!!
The husband and I ordered takeout for lunch and they were super fast. We placed our order in person and it was ready within just a few minutes. They really are efficient, and the chicken was cooked all the way through, so yup, that's efficiency right there. We tried -
Beef/lamb gyro bowl - with basmati rice, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, red wine vinaigrette topped with tzatziki and spicy yogurt. The bowl was really good - a good amount of meat with other stuff. A bit too much rice in my opinion, and the spicy yogurt isn't really spicy, but I'm not to be trusted with judging spice levels since according to the husband, nothing is spicy to me. The bowl may look like it as a lot of sauce, but it mixes in so well with the veggies and rice. They also provide some sauce on the side if you want more. Maybe it was for our other dish, but sauce was available in our bag.
Chicken Souvlaki plate with Fries - had a choice between rice or fries, and we chose fries. Comes with a couple decent sized skewers (learned that souvlaki meant skewers!), pita, fries, and side salad. Pretty good! Now I'm thinking the side of sauces were for this plate and not for my bowl.
Nick the Greek in Walnut Creek is still rather new, and I hope their food is consistently good. We'll definitely come back again and again
