WELCOME TO PARADA
Imagine walking into an energetic outdoor produce market in Lima, Peru. Visualize the panoply of brightly colored vegetables, the gleaming array of freshly caught seafood, and the succulent aromas of the region’s renowned rotisserie chicken. Such a place was the inspiration behind Parada, a restaurant that brings the flavors Peru to Walnut Creek.
Behind this vibrant venture is acclaimed chef Carlos Altamirano, a man renowned in the Bay Area for his extraordinary take on traditional Peruvian cuisine. Discover dishes such as fresh fish cebiches, organic salads, grilled anticuchos (or meat skewers), and entrees such as the traditional chicken dish known as Pollo a la Brasa. With both a la carte and family style meals available for dine-in or take out, Parada is warm, approachable and gives diners a taste of authentic Peruvian fare.
What a great dining experience!
Our waitress Daphnie was amazing! Such a friendly face and was so helpful in helping us pick out so tasty dishes to try.
We ordered Tequeños, Yuca Frita and Aji Gallina for the table. The perfect amount of food for 3 people! In fact we had leftovers! OVerall the best thing on the table that we were all fighting for the last of was the Yuca Frita. ORDER IT! The Tequeños were super tasty because who doesn't love cheese! The chicken in the Aji Gallina was unbelievably tender! I wanted to drown in the aji amarillo sauce!
Amazing meal with great staff!
One of the best cocktail spots in the area!
The food is always delicious, but I have a special place in my heart for their empanadas and sauces. So much flavor.
We've visited a few times over the past 5+ years and it seems to be getting better and better!
Street parking but surprisingly easy on all of our visits.
We came here the night before a wedding while staying at the Embassy Suites. We walked. We didn't have a reservation but they accomodated us. Excellent food. Creative playing. Lively atmosphere.
