Resurrect is a mix of handmade clothing, jewelry, apothecary, and accessories from artists and designers from Oakland and beyond. The store is a rotating art gallery featuring a new local artist every other month. Resurrect's mission is to promote local artists and designers and educate consumers about the many perks of buying sustainable fashion!
Kate Morrow has been in the retail industry for over 15+ years and worked in many different types of retail fashion stores ranging from main stream corporations to small mom and pop shops.
Kate also creates her own line of clothing that she sells in the shop. She has curated and participated in numerous fashion shows, including one at the MOMA in Phoenix, Arizona. She has a keen eye for craftsmanship and knows quality of construction.
I got this gorgeous T-shirt yesterday and haven't taken it off since. Who knew a shop bejeweled with such delicately beautiful items would also boast something to awaken my inner badass? AND, I'm a size 14. It felt amazing to go hunter-gatherer through this thoughtfully curated collection, only to find multiple pieces I could comfortably wear.
The shop is filled with a lot of really breathtaking pieces. Many (if not most?)are made locally, too! The result is a collection that is hella East Bay.

Love this place. They have unique, handmade clothing and jewelry by various artist. The prints on their clothing is amazing and reminds me of a take on the bold fresh prints on African clothing.
This place makes me think the typical, witchy, sexy, Oakland enchantress wearing her crystal rings and bold jaguar printed dress.
They have less colorful clothes but, I find this place fun for the crazy prints.
The staff is nice and very friendly and I love their sale rack.

I love stopping into this shop anytime I'm in the area. Most of the goods are locally made and it's one of those places that maybe most of the clothing isn't exactly my personal style, but it is a place where there is always one.total.treasure. that speaks to you and you cannot leave without.
The jewelry here is gorgeous and the clothing is unique and vibrant. I've purchased many a ring, dress, and one time I walked in wearing gym clothes and walked out wearing and overall romper that caught my eye and had me convinced I could wear without a bra (that was not my best judgement).
The staff a kind, soft-spoken, but very helpful if you need it. I love how often they change up their merch and bring in new treasures and tinctures for me to explore.
