Located on 14th Avenue, nestled between Cabrillo St. and Balboa St., in the heart of the Richmond District and just a few blocks from San Francisco’s iconic Golden Gate Park, this Stratford campus is convenient to reach from 19th Avenue and city neighborhoods that run along the Park Presidio and Balboa Street.
Our 14th Avenue campus offers an innovative and intentionally balanced STEAM-based curriculum for students in Preschool through Grade 5. The thoughtfully designed learning spaces include a STEAM lab, library, music room, urban outdoor playgrounds for elementary and preschool students, indoor gym, and two floors with bright, cheerful classrooms. And a spacious multi-purpose room with a well-equipped stage is ideal for student performances and special events.
Unique to this Stratford School campus is its Mandarin Bilingual program. Stratford’s Mandarin Bilingual Preschool through Elementary programs are immersive, five-day-per-week programs designed to promote consistency and continuity in learning a second language. Students enrolled in the Mandarin Bilingual program will build upon foundational knowledge, skills, and concepts in our core STEAM curriculum. As well as gain a cultural experience and understanding in a fun, enriching learning environment. Stratford’s robust Preschool and Elementary curriculum is taught by teachers speaking and instructing in both Mandarin and English.
We are very fortunate to have found Stratford. My daughter is in the preschool and my son just graduated kindergarten. They both love school and have learned a crazy amount in their one year they have been at Stratford. The curriculum is what products in in the community is what is keeping us.
The school is like new with a fantastic setup, excellent teachers and staff and great technologies to keep parents informed.
I would highly recommend the school for anyone looking for a preschool or elementary school.

Is unbelievable.The students are super sharp,because the curriculum is challenging and advanced.They engage in a lot of hands on learning and higher level thinking skill development.The educational environment is positive and everyone seems enthusiastic and happy.Each class works in a focused and dynamic way.The students become very articulate because they have ample opportunity to exchange ideas and write creatively.An absolutely extraordinary school...
My nephew attends this Stratford location and we couldn't be happier. The teachers work tirelessly to meet the accelerated curriculum while also planning educational experiences that my nephew remembers and talks about often. Not only are the teachers extremely professional but they also have very close and positive relationships with their students, often tutoring them after school , sending home extension activities and pinpointing what the students should focus on so that the parents are aware. The teachers also put on phenomenal programs , Spring and Winter. Kudos to all the teachers!! A school with happy students and amazing staff. Highly recommend this school!
