The Padrosa family atmosphere, in tandem with a team of Spanish managers and chefs, has made Telefèric Barcelona a go to destination in the Bay Area for a trip to Spain with no passport required.
Back again, cozy patio was enjoyable on a rainy day
We loved the vegetable paella with artichokes, the cauliflower with a cheesy foam, the cheese plate, and papas bravas.
Plenty of options for vegetarians. I'm not sure I saw any salad which could be nice.
We got the pan con tomate also but I would skip it wasn't the best bread or tomato.
So delicious. They were a little busy on a Sunday around brunch time so we had to stand around until they could get us seated. I think getting a reservation ahead of time is probably a good idea.
I loved everything I had. Standouts definitely were the little gem salad and the brussels sprouts, but I also loved the cooked shrimp in oil, and the crab croquettes. I did think the presentation was slow - like they brought out one dish at a time, which was probably good because we had a small table!
It really did make me miss the delicious tapas in Barcelona.
Happy to see that they have locations closer to home and I will have to check out the Palo Alto or Los Gatos sometime in the future.
The sangria drinks and the croquettes are beyond amazing. I highly recommend sitting at the bar and admiring g the restaurant decor and the architectural elements of the interior, paired with delicious food and company.
