The Park’s contemporary American bistro menu features French influences highlighting sustainable seafood, farm-fresh produce, and artisanal meats.
Four of us dropped in for an old-friends' reunion lunch. This was my first time here, and I was delighted. The staff was very friendly, attentive and non-intrusive. The drinks and food came out pretty quickly. Two ordered pulled pork sandwiches and two had the Park burger.
The Park burgers were cooked perfectly! The fries were extra crisp as requested and we even got grilled Serrano peppers to spice up our food. All four plates were pretty clean at the end!
We had a long lunch and didn't feel rushed.
The French 75's hit the spot!
Mike & Terrence took good care of us. The hostess Lauren let us pick our table and helped bring the food out.
Went to Park Bistro at Lafayette Hotel. Pleasure to come here because it's a really well run hotel. All personnel were great and friendly from the front desk, young host, assistants, food runners and waitresses. Paige was our waitress and it made it a really great night. You can tell everyone here works really hard including the managers who were hustling and delivered food when needed.
We had a bourbon on the rocks and their vodka Aperol cocktail straight up. One of my great pleasures in life is a cocktail with roast nuts before dinner, a pleasure I don't allow myself at home for fear of it becoming a habit. You can order a bowl of nuts at the Park Bistro. The cut crystal glass used for the bourbon was really nice and had great heft in the hand. Panzanella salad was really tasty with candy pecans, croutons, endive and well balanced dressing. Scallops with mushroom risotto had 4 huge scallops that were perfectly cooked. The risotto was loaded with incredible mushrooms and was toothsome (not mushy) in the Italian style, it had cheese on it which an Italian wouldn't add, but was delicious. Branzino was deboned fillets, perfectly pan fried in a tasty lemon sauce. I would have liked more sauce and maybe some lemon. The watercress, fennel and turnip salad served with it, was a good accompaniment but needed a better dressing and more of it. The turnip and potato pieces were a little confusing. They had the same texture.
Really nice laid back crowd many of whom were celebrating birthdays with candles being delivered in desserts, which is always a good time. Because we still try to be Covid careful, we sat on the front terrace which is nice but had some freeway noise. Someday I hope we can eat in their courtyard on a warm night.
My husband and I had a small wedding at SF City Hall and had a wee wedding celebration at this restuarant. Hands down, they had the best service out of the 6 venues we vetted. The location was beautiful, parking was easy, the hotel staff was kind, the restuarant was accommodating, the servers were so attentive and respectful and the food was great. For a group of 12, we expected hiccups, but the staff here did an incredible job and we had a great time. Can't wait to come back for our 1 year anniversary!
