About

T' Z U N U N
In 2011, the Wence Family took a chance and they opened their first restaurant, Wence’s Restaurant. Wence’s is located in Pleasant Hill, California, and Wence’s offers a social seafood concept.

Chef Gerardo Wence took his son, Jesus Wence, under his wing and shared with him his passion for food and the restaurant industry. At the age of 18, Jesus began to further his education in the culinary arts, and with the support of his family, Jesus transitioned his culinary dream into T’ Z U N U N.

From sip to savor, T’zunun is committed to providing a Modern Mexican culture based dining experience. With an eye for sustainability, T’zunun’s focus on unique, artisan, and local ingredients create trend-setting modern Mexican plates.

The T' Z U N U N experience is marked by local and Mexican wines, and organic hand-crafted cocktails, perfectly paired with delicate, yet approachable dishes.

Excellent new lunch/dinner spot! Had a chance to finally try this last night after passing by daily. We got there Sunday night during prime dinner time and there were plenty of open tables. We chose to sit at the bar; the bartender was very friendly!

What we tried:
- cocktail similar to the La Cazuela (can't remember the name) - tasted like a sparkly margarita
- Queso Fundido - super yummy queso with chorizo; we substituted the tortillas for homemade tortilla chips that were crunchy and delicious; loved the queso but the cheese did get stiff a little quickly, so eat fast!
- Duck Tacos - my husbands choice and he devoured it!
- Taquitos Dorados - crab and Brussels sprout taquitos; lots of fresh tasting crab and the Brussels sprouts balanced it well; sauce added good flavor; would come back for this!

Overall, thought this was a great date night spot. We'll be back!

Delicious cocktails. Delicious food. An absolutely gorgeous patio. T'zunun killed it for lunch.

Got the Lobster tacos and duck confit tacos along with a half dozen Kusshi oysters. Everything was executed to perfection. This isn't a fast, cheap tacqueria, this is an upscale Mexican restaurant that hits its marks.

Super flavorful sauces combined with homemade from scratch tortillas made these the best tacos I've had in 2022. The lobster was cooked perfectly, the duck confit was tender and flavorful. Did I mention the made from scratch tortillas? I haven't had tortillas this good since I was wandering the Yucatan peninsula.

They had fresh Kusshi oysters with this super umami chili sauce that brought out the flavor.

Variety of Mescal based cocktails.

Definitely recommend this spot if you want something different than your typical tacqueria.

We drive by this place all the time and today we are so glad we finally made a visit!

This place has very friendly service and is family friendly too. Service was very fast, even at dinner time and we also noticed that multiple families brought their babies and toddlers - really didn't expect this to be honest. Still this restaurant is roomy both indoor and out - very accommodating.

This food is just hands down amazing. My wife especially wants to give a shout out for the mushroom tacos. On first glance it seems unusual, but the flavors and texture are mind blowing. My better half is already planning her next meal here with this dish in mind. We also shared a beet and jicama salad, very crisp and refreshing. The surf and turf dish had a great balance of plump crab meat with savory steak. Lastly, we shared and pigged out on the seafood and rice paella dish - very fresh seafood with full bodied flavors.

Hands down we will come back to T'zunun and want to bring our friends to try too
