Our menu encourages diners to explore and share a variety of eclectic, international small plate portions. Va de Vi is now my go-to if ever in downtown Walnut Creek! It's in the heart of shops and a ton of yummy eateries, but you can tell Va de Vi is on another level just from the look of the entrance. They have a mini koi pond fountain that greets you, and a magical outdoor alleyway complete with vines and string lights. I highly recommend dining al fresco since the interior is pretty standard of a nice restaurant.
The waiters here are also top notch -- they ask if it's your first time, and if so, gives you a quick yet detailed rundown of the menu as well as recommendations without me even asking. We tried the summer corn risotto, braised short rib, and Alaskan black cod. These were all cooked to perfection where everything simply melted in my mouth. Each plate is small, so don't expect to be full. Just order more! You'll want to keep eating and sit for a while since the ambience is so nice. Not to mention, the wine menu here is pretty extensive with local and global varietals to be had.
The food is so tasty. I like how they have small plates, which makes it nice to share and easy to taste a lot of different items. We sat outside in the beautiful ambiance of decorative lights and overhead heaters, which made it quite comfortable even though it was pretty chilly outside. I would highly recommend outdoor seating for a more romantic feel. It is a little quieter so you can hear what the person across from you is saying. We had a wine flight which was perfect throughout the meal. The wait staff was attentive and had great suggestions for meal pairings.

Awesome place for celebrations and amazing meals. You can never go wrong here. Food is incredible and the staff is very attentive.
