Excellent wine, beautiful setting and above all fantastic service on beautiful spring Friday afternoon. Wente is set in stunning grounds and it's mission style architecture is set off by white stucco walls contrasting with warm polished wood beams. The patio flight features an ultra light rose, a creamy chardonnay and 2 rich fruity red blends of Syrah, Petite Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon for $30. All are high quality wines, they are smooth and delicious. They have an excellent grazing board to pair with the wine which I want to try next time. Bryan, our sommelier, was such a sweetheart. He offered generous pours of more wines to taste and paired them up with his excellent hand made chocolate. He also kept checking in every now and then for a smile and chat. These small touches really elevate the experience! Highly recommended!

So this is a heck of place that I wish I would have found sooner. I'll be honest, I had actually avoided Wente because it's one of the "big" wineries in the Livermore valley. I'm not sure how long the tasting lounge on Arroyo Road has been open, but it's phenomenal grounds. I can't wait for Covid to be over so that tours and music can return.

The wine was pretty incredible. It's by no means low price, but I think worth the money. The reds are smooth and often dry and Italian in style. My favorite! Even without events due to Covid, we'll be coming back often just for the setting and the great wine.

FYI, If you like olives, get the olives and mozzarella appetizer. It's wonderful.
