View ProfileEsin and Curtis deCarion are a culinary match made in heaven. Well, make that Johnson & Wales University in Charleston which seemed like paradise to them. As their friendship bloomed at culinary school, they discovered a mutual passion for reading cookbooks, crafting recipes, and talking incessantly about food. Married with two sons, Esin and Curtis have served up American food with Mediterranean flare since 1998. Before they opened Esin Restaurant in Danville's Rose Garden center in 2008, they ran the popular Café Esin a few miles away in San Ramon. Curious, adventurous, and caring, the deCarions meticulously oversee each meal for their guests. They are fussy about everything at the restaurant from the pristine dining room to the freshness of each ingredient. The couple also takes extra care to mentor and train their staff. Curtis and Esin attract food-loving servers who instinctively understand guests' needs. They nurture a spirit of teamwork and independent thinking. And keep a keen eye on the environment by recycling and using many local purveyors. Esin and Curtis opened Revel Kitchen & Bar in historic downtown Danville in 2014. Located in the heart of Lafayette, Social Bird is the third restaurant venture from the couple. View ProfileFamily owned and operated since 2000 The First Street Alehouse wants to be your home away from home. Inspired by two brothers who wanted to bring a small slice of Chico to their new home town, the Alehouse provides an upbeat, social atmosphere while fostering a strong sense of community. It has been said that you may walk in the door not knowing anyone but you are sure to walk out the door with a few more friends. A lot has happened since we opened in 2000. After a tremendous amount of community support, the Alehouse successfully transitioned to their new larger location in April of 2010. This has allowed them to better serve their guests. Now home to the largest publicly displayed beer can collection, housing over 6000 cans, the decor has changed but the feeling has not. A marriage, two kids and two dogs later these brothers continue to have the same vision for their business; provide quality food and beverages for a fair price, and treat everyone who walks in the door like they’re family. As you look around the Alehouse you will undoubtedly notice the stunning woodwork and incredible atmosphere, but if you look a bit closer you will see the subtle hints of a family. The hostess stand is lined with pictures of their kids, the family tricycle is hung from the rafters and their son’s footprints are set in the concrete as a reminder that they are all in this together. Set one foot in the door and it is obvious that people love being at the Alehouse. Guests sit conversing while enjoying great food and typically a frosty beverage, or two, but what stands out the most is the positivity and friendliness of the staff. The owners pride themselves on treating others like they would like to be treated and this policy is clearly visible when it comes to their staff benefits. Offering medical and 401K matching benefits to their staff has allowed them to acquire a devoted staff who are fully invested in the business and what the Alehouse stands for. If you have never given the Alehouse a shot make today the day. We think you will find out why it is known by the locals as, “the heartbeat of Downtown Livermore.” [read more]

View ProfileGarré Winery is located in Livermore, California. Historians trace viticulture activity in the Livermore Valley back to 1832. A family photo of Nonna "Rosa" Garré with her son in law Gino Molinaro holding the jug of family wineWe also trace our family wine making back to the early 19th century as well to a small village outside of Genoa, Italy. “My dad is Bob Molinaro, the owner of Garré Winery. He tells the story of his dad and uncles getting together every year to make their wine for the family. A truck would bring red grapes from Napa to San Francisco, where the families lived. The grapes would be crushed and fermented and the wine would be made. My uncles learned from their uncles who brought their knowledge and experience from the Old Country to the New World. Family traditions and a deeply rooted heritage are the backbone of Garré Vineyard & Winery, welcoming visitors as family to enjoy the experience of old Italy. Visit us to share in our toast of a glass from the past, a toast to the future.” Gina Molinaro-Cardera [read more]
