The Hop Yard Alehouse & Grill

The original Hop Yard Alehouse & Grill in Pleasanton, California, is located on what was once the largest hop farm in the world. From the 1880's to the beginning of World War I, the Pleasanton Hop Company operated on 1900 acres of swampy marshland along what is now Hopyard Road. Pleasanton hops were world renowned. The Pleasanton Hop Company was an economic powerhouse that brought people together from near and far to work hard and play hard as well. We have tried to recapture some of our local heritage here at The Hop Yard. Garden School is located in a residential neighborhood of Danville. The original house was totally remodeled and redesigned to be a school with work areas, a children's kitchen, child size sinks and bathrooms. We have a great yard with play structures, mature trees and wonderful gardens where we can learn about plants and nature. We have rabbits, birds and fish to help learn about caring for animals. Since 1978, Garden Montessori School has provided a preschool enrichment program for children of the San Ramon Valley. We offer a unique environment where children can work and learn in their own community. Garden School is one multi age class of 18 children AM and PM. To be able to focus on a quality program we do not offer extended hours or day care.
